As his 6-year term draws to a close, AFAB Administrator Emmanuel Pineda recounted recent and past accomplishments that led to the Freeport ‘s present progress, success and empowerment.
In his State of the Freeport Address (SOFA) Pineda emphasized how AFAB’ s action plan, SOFT HEART (Socially relevant, Operationally viable, Financially feasible, Technologically advanced- Housing, Expansion areas Accessibility, Renewable energy and Transportation) has served as FAB’s fundamental guiding principle in its pursuit of lasting growth and development.
Despite the tremendous challenges brought about by the pandemic, FAB showed remarkable improvements and empowerment in its operational performance just this year with, 96 operating FAB registered Enterprises; 17 FAB Expansion areas; PhP 935M board-approved investments; 37, 261 employment generated; 571. 2 dollars worth of export value; PhP 571M recorded port revenues and PhP 392M budget alloted infrastructures.
More than the numbers, Administrator Pineda said that the Freeport’s milestone was a product of the joint efforts of every member of the FAB community.
Pineda emotionally thanked the FAB community by saying, “Maraming salamat po sa inyong lahat na naging kabahagi ko ng buong FABolous family sa makabuluhang paglalakbay na ito.”
Over 100 guests including Gov. Joet Garcia; Mariveles Mayor AJ Concepcion; representatives of various government agencies, investment and promotion agencies, FAB registered locators, civic organizations and the academe attended the SOFA.
